1. Purpose & Nature of Service

CareerPath AI is an educational, self-guided career planning and learning roadmapping application. It provides deterministic algorithmic matching, competency gap identification, curated study links, and optional AI-assisted coaching commentary.

2. Advisory & Educational Use Only

All career recommendations, fit scores, skill assessments, and roadmaps are generated for guidance and self-evaluation purposes only. CareerPath AI is not an employment agency, headhunter, recruiter, accredited educational institution, or legal advisor.

3. Free & Fair Use Policy

CareerPath AI is provided free of charge under the open-source MIT License. To maintain reliable free-tier access for everyone, automated abuse, DDoS attacks, prompt injection exploits, and mass scraping of backend API endpoints are prohibited. Rate limiting is enforced per IP address.

4. Intellectual Property & User Data

You retain 100% ownership of any resume text, project descriptions, or learning notes you draft or analyze within the application. We claim zero rights over your personal work or portfolio milestones.

5. Limitation of Liability

CareerPath AI and its contributors provide the software on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall the authors be liable for any career decisions, hiring outcomes, or damages arising from the use of the platform.
